“It was like a storybook romance. After many bad dates (from a number of dating web sites), we both saw each others pictures and profiles on your site. Let it be known that I was married a long time before and divorced for a little while - and scared to be out in the dating scene after such a long time. David showed interest within a few days of me putting my profile live on the site. I showed interest back. Unfortunately, we both went on vacations that very same week and didn't hear from each other for a week. I thought to myself "Geez, there goes another one". I of course did not know why he didn't respond back to let me know that he saw that was interested", too. I was bummed because I really liked his profile and picture. But low and behold, when he got back from vacation I got another message from him with his email address and if I would like to write to him he would like to hear from me.

We wrote back and forth for a couple days and then asked if we could talk by phone. I was nervous but I said, yes that he could call me. We talked on the phone every night that week and agreed to meet for a date that coming Saturday at Borders bookstore for coffee. When we met in the parking lot and it was like love at first sight... I ran up to him and kissed him right there next to his car!! Now let me say that I am not usually like that but there was something so special about him - I could tell by our phone conversations and emails. But right there in person it was WOW!

We had coffee on a soft, comfy leather couch in the bookstore and talked for a long time. We talked about our lives, our previous marriages and a lot about our kids. We decided to go to the Metro Parks and take a walk. We walked and talked and held hands for hours. After all that walking, talking, holding hands and kissing we decided that we were very hungry. We had a very nice dinner at Hoolihan's. Neither of us wanted the date to end when dinner was finished so David asked me to come to his place to watch a movie. I told him that going to a man's apartment on a first date was against my better judgment. He promised to be a perfect gentleman. He lived up to his word and we had a nice evening at his place. I was reluctant to leave but it was 2:00am and I knew I really should be getting home.

Our first date started at 3:00pm in the afternoon and ended at 2:00am. First thing the next morning he called to say what a wonderful time he had. I felt the same way. Our next date was that afternoon. David and I said "I love you" to each other for the first time only 10 days later. We knew that we were meant to be. We then started to see each other as much as we could but since we lived an hour apart and both had full time jobs we had to make due with weekends and usually one evening during the week. We went on vacation together after only seven weeks and found that being together 24/7 and having fun together felt so right. We have allowed our love to grow over two and a half years and are planning our wedding for this coming May.

David has taught me how to love. He has showed me what true love is. I have grown as a person because of him. We have been through some bad times, and we have been through some of the most wonderful of times. It goes to show that in good times and in bad, our love is strong and will never fade. We are living proof of love at first sight. We are proof that there are still truly romantic people in this crazy, mixed up world. And we are proof that there really is such a thing as finding your soul mate. I found mine!”
